The First Mixed Aussie Pairs Competition took place at two venues last weekend at Charlbury & Burford. All teams played three games, with points applying to the winners or to draw games. The best two pairs with the most points will qualify for the Semi-finals which are likely to take place at Charlbury Bowls Club on 3 August 2025 in the afternoon (tbc)

The photograph below shows the three Aussie pairs teams who entered from Kidlington and played on the Burford green. The winners on the day were Sue & Jim Feeley shown in the photo.

Players, young and old from all over the county playing as a team and getting on fine. You don't see that in many other sports.
