MIXED SELECTIONS for the MIXED MATCHES in 2025
PLayers listed have all previously stated that they will be available on the day and wished to play. If this is no longer the case, please contact the Match Secretary and inform them as soon as possible, so that reserves can be notified.
DRESS CODE: County shirts & county colours below the waste with bowls shoes when playing for the county. However, only county shirts are mandatory for the 2026 season and first time bowlers can wear their club colours for the first match they play, if they wish.
Off the green, smart casual dress or playing attire.
If you have any eating allergies, please let me know in advance of the games, then I can inform the host club who usually offer an alternative that you can eat.

Travel Advice:
Below are directions via the A34 which we recommend as the best way to get to Oakley. If you travel through Newbury via the A339 the satnav may bring you down very narrow country lanes.
- Oakley Bowling Club
We are situated on the Malshanger Estate and not in the village of Oakley. The Post Code, RG23 7EY, covers a large area and when entered into a SatNav may not bring you right to the Green. If possible use the co-ordinates: N51.270554, W1.188472

From Newbury (M4)
Exit the M4 at Junction 13 and follow A34 (South) for Winchester and Southampton. After 14.7 miles take exit for Whitchurch. At mini roundabout in Whitchurch take 1st exit for B3400, Overton & Basingstoke. Continue on B3400 through Laverstoke & Overton for 7 miles to Beach Arms then proceed as local directions below.

From B3400 at Beach Arms, take Ivydown Lane for Hannington. Follow Ivydown Lane for 0.5 miles, taking care on sharp right hand bend, to Blandy's Farm. Turn left onto Summerdown Lane for 0.5 miles then turn right for Malshanger & Upper Wootton. At cottages turn right for Malshanger Sports & Social Club and after 250yds turn left into Oakley Bowling Club.
PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION IN THE NARROW LANES LEADING UP TO THE GREEN.
